小婦人四姊妹

“Little Women” was written by Louisa Alcott in 1868. Even it was a story over 150 years , I still enjoyed it very much.

 

Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy are four sisters of the March family. Mr. March is away from home in the American Civil War. Life is tough for the girls. Meg works as a governess for a rich family. Jo stays with Aunt March and takes care of her. Beth stays at home whole day and cleans the house. Amy goes to school alone.

 

The story is about their lives in a year. They got a lot of problems, i.e. buying presents for their mum, going to party without proper cloth, making friends with their rich neighbours…

 

Fortunately, they solve all the problems with the support of their mother and friends. In the same time, they also grow up into happy young women.

 

3A Po Hoi Kiu recently won a prize in a book report competition. The book she read was “Little Women”. I am sure you will enjoy this interesting and touching story.

Meg、Jo、Beth和Amy是March家的四姊妹。March先生身處美國獨立戰爭戰場，四姊妹的生活格外艱難。Meg是有錢人家的家庭教師；Jo負責照顧March嬸嬸；Beth整天留在家中打點家務；Amy獨自到學校去。

 

這個故事就是有關她們一年的生活，她們面對不少問題，例如為媽媽預備聖誕禮物、出席派對卻沒有合適服飾、如何與富有鄰居相交……

 

幸好在媽媽和朋友的幫助下，她們最終能解決重重困難。同時，四姊妹亦長大成為快樂的小婦人。
