馬淑儀老師早前在早會介紹了一位愛在洗手間寫日記的男孩子，你還記得他的故事嗎？

‘The Diary of Amos Lee’ is an interesting book written by Adeline Foo.  Amos Lee writes his diary in the toilet so as to get away from his troubles.  He takes his diary wherever he goes as he knows there are those who want to get their hands on it.  It is so interesting that he always tries to find a place to hide his diary away from his mother.  However, his mother can always find it and write comments on it.  He writes a Science magazine about the hunger and fire in the will of a cat.  The moral of the story is that with hunger and fire in the will, we can awaken a hunting instinct to kill.  Amos has discovered the hunger and the fire to kill that drives him to want to win in a competition.  He finally realizes it is the attitude that determines a winner.

“The Diary of Amos Lee”是Adeline Foo創作的一本有趣故事書。Amos Lee為了逃避麻煩事，愛躲在洗手間內寫日記。他會把日記隨身携帶，以免被別人偷看。書中有趣的部分，包括他跟媽媽的「暗戰」，即使他費盡心力收藏日記，媽媽總能得手並在日記寫下留言。他亦曾經投稿到科學雜誌，文章內容是關於一頭小貓的熾熱鬥心，故事的喻意是只要具備熾熱的鬥心，我們將會無堅不摧。Amos發現熾熱的鬥心也成為推動他競逐比賽的動力，他終於明白決定勝負誰屬的關鍵就是個人態度。

“The Diary of Amos Lee: girls, guts and glory!”(F FOO)將會下星期在圖書館新書推出，而系列的其他作品亦會稍後陸續上架。
