You need to borrow money from an enemy. If you fail to repay him, he can take a pound of your flesh. Will you still agree the deal?

"The Merchant of Venice" is a famous story written by William Shakespeare. Antonio helps his friend, Bassanio, to borrow money from Shylock. Shylock hates Antonio and makes the above condition in their deal.

Bassanio and his new wife try to save Bassanio when they know Antonio can't repay the loan...

This version of "The Merchant of Venice"(F SHA) is too short and some of the interesting plots are not included. But there is also a screenplay, so you can read the story in another way. It is on the S.3 booklist of another Tuen Mun school. It will be available in the school library in the new semester.

“The  Merchant of Venice" 是莎士比亞著名的作品。
