莎士比亞展現人性

Shakespeare is the most famous playwright in the world. You may not have chance to read or watch his play yet. But you can still meet Romeo, Juliet, King Lear, Hamlet by reading this story version of his plays.

“More tales from Shakespeare” has six short stories of Shakespeare. It includes the Winter’s Tale, King Lear, the taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and Othello.

The plots are interesting and exciting. How come innocent lover like Romeo and Juliet kill themselves? How silly is King Lear to give his fortune to the cruel daughters! How stupid are Othello and Leontes to kill their wives!

But you should also notice the human weaknesses which exposed in the stories. Jealousy, greed, hatred will lead to tragedies.

“More tales from Shakespeare” (F SHA) is a F.3 student reader used in another Tuen Mun secondary school. You can borrow it after the Easter holiday.
