He met three ghosts in three consecutive
nights. You probably have heard this famous story written by Charles Dickens. He
was the rich man in “A Christmas Carol” and his name was Scrooge.
He hated Christmas much and he was very
selfish. But he had a strange adventure before Christmas. The ghosts had shown
him Christmas in the past, the present and even the future.
This language of this version is simple and
it is suitable for lower form students. You can borrow “A Christmas Carol”(F
DIC) this Friday.
“He said he hoped the people saw him in
church, because they would see he could not walk easily. He wanted them to
enjoy thinking about God, who helps people who are poor and ill.”
