“Around the world in eighty days” is a very popular story. You may have even watched the movie adapted from the novel.

It’s not a difficult task to accomplish nowadays. But the story is about the trip of Mr Fogg in 19^th century.

Mr Fogg is a rich man who lives in London. He makes a bet with Sir Ralph that he can travel around the world in eight days. He and his servant, Passepartout, visit Egypt, India, San Francisco and even Hong Kong!

They have a lot of exciting adventures, for example, saving a woman from burning alive, fighting against the angry Indians…

Jules Verne’s “Around the world in eighty days”(F VER) has many different versions. This one from the Black Cat series is not difficult to understand. But I would like to read another version which provides more details of their exciting trip. You can borrow this book after the Easter holiday.

今時今日，這個任務並不難達成。不過，這個故事的主人翁Mr Fogg卻是活在十九世紀呢！

Mr Fogg是居於倫敦的富豪，他跟Ralph爵士打賭可於八十天內環繞世界一周。他和僕人Passepartout先後到訪埃及、印度、三藩市，甚至香港！

他倆有很多刺激的經歷，例如救回被行火刑的女士、對抗憤怒的印第安人……

Jules Verne的《八十日環遊世界》(F VER)有很多不同版本，”Black Cat”系列的這于本算是易讀，但我寧可選讀一本較深入記載他們刺激旅程的，本書將於復活假期後開始外借。
