Last week I read two English books in a
row, “The Wind in the Willows” and “The American West”.
The former is a bit strange to me. It’s a story
about mole, rat, badger and toad. The author wrote this story for his son.
Toad is rich but sometimes he’s boastful.
He likes adventures and he can even steal a car for excitement. His friends,
Mole, Rat and Badger try to help him but it’s not an easy task. Read the book “The
Wind in the Willows” and find out what happen after Toad is locked up in prison. Friendship
is one of the most important thing in life.
How’s the life of a cowboy? Why did the
Indians fight with the Americans? Did the gold prospectors really find gold in California?
The American pioneer went to the West and
had conflicts with native Indians. There are many exciting stories of the explorers
to the West. You will know the lives of the cowboy, outlaws and Indians in “The
American West”.
“The Wind in the Willows” (F GRA) and “The
American West” (F CLE) are both available in the school library in the new
semester.
The
Wind in the Willows”《楊柳風》和 ”The American West”《美國西部探險》。
The Wind in the Willows”《楊柳風》,你會得知蟾蜍被關進監獄後怎麼辦。
“The Wind in the Willows” 《楊柳風》(F GRA) 和 “The American West” 《美國西部探險》(F CLE)新學年將在圖書館推出。
